The Problem (Client’s Pain Points)
When I took over this project, the website was facing three major challenges:
- Frozen Organic Traffic: The website’s organic traffic was completely stuck, forcing the client to rely heavily on expensive paid ads to get sales.
- Low CTR Despite High Impressions: The products were showing up in Google search results (generating impressions), but users were not clicking on them.
- Indexation & Duplicate Content Issues: Being an e-commerce site, there were too many duplicate product and category pages, which were confusing Google’s crawlers.
My SEO Strategy (Step-by-Step Execution)
1. Smart Keyword Mapping
I conducted deep keyword research focused on buyer intent. I mapped specific keywords to their exact matching Collection (Category) and Product Detail Pages (PDPs). This eliminated keyword overlap and ensured that the right page ranked for the right search.
2. Technical SEO Fixes
- Fixing Crawl Budget: I blocked duplicate and thin low-value pages from indexing so that Googlebot could focus entirely on crawling and ranking important product pages.
- Product Schema Markup: I implemented product structured data so that star ratings, reviews, and pricing could show up directly in Google search results to build instant user trust.
- Mobile-First Optimization: Since the vast majority of online shoppers in Pakistan use mobile phones, I optimized the site’s mobile usability and speed.
3. On-Page & CTR Optimization
I rewrote the Title Tags and Meta Descriptions for top-selling products. I integrated high-converting hooks like “Cash on Delivery,” “Free Shipping in Pakistan,” and “Best Price” to attract users’ attention and encourage them to click.
4. Strategic Internal Linking
I created a clean internal linking structure. By linking stronger authority pages to newer product pages, I passed link juice throughout the store, helping new items rank faster.
The Results (Google Search Console Data)

- 1.84 Million+ Impressions: The website gained massive visibility on Google, significantly boosting brand awareness in the Pakistani market.
- 56.4K+ Organic Clicks: Thousands of high-intent buyers visited the store for free, reducing the client’s dependency on paid ads and increasing their profit margins.
- 3.1% Average CTR: Our meta tags optimization successfully encouraged searchers to click on our listings instead of competitors.
- 16.6 Average Position: Thousands of competitive e-commerce keywords successfully moved to the top pages of Google.
Conclusion
